Bio

Giorgio Simonelli was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and editor. He began his career in the film industry as an editor in the 1930s, working on films such as The Three-Cornered Hat (1935). Simonelli transitioned to directing with Il signor Max (1937), a comedy that gained significant popularity. Throughout his career, he directed over 40 films, including Totò Tarzan (1950) and I due mafiosi (1964). Simonelli's films are noted for their comedic elements and contribution to the Italian comedy genre.
