Bio

Lisa Bloom is a prominent civil rights attorney who holds degrees from UCLA and Yale Law School. She is licensed to practice in New York and California and has earned a reputation as a champion for victims' rights. Among her many high-profile lawsuits, she sued the Boy Scouts of America for sex discrimination on behalf of a young girl who wanted to join; clergy members on behalf of child sexual abuse and molestation victims; race discrimination cases against the LAPD; and a sexual harassment suit against a Los Angeles judge. Lisa is featured in the most recent edition of Who's Who in American Law. Lisa is currently the co-anchor for Court TV's daytime trial coverage program "Trial Heat". She has appeared on Fox's Power of Attorney (2000), and guest-hosted a talk show on KABC radio. She was formerly the resident legal commentator on Pax's Great Day America (1998). She has made hundreds of guest appearances on television talk shows such as Leeza (1994), Roseanne (1988), The Montel Williams Show (1991) and others on topics ranging from castration of sex offenders to mail order brides. Lisa has published articles in the Los Angeles Times, The National Law Journal and is the author of two books. She thrives on adventure travel and, in 2000, climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. She lives in New York and is the mother of two children
